BreastCheck extended to 65-69 year olds

After years of campaigning, the Government announced the extension of the BreastCheck Screening Programme to women aged 65-69 years in Budget 2015.

It has been stated on many an occasion that women aged between 55 and 75 are at a heightened risk of developing breast cancer.

The extension of the BreastCheck service is therefore a great victory for older women who are entitled to treatment and services at any age.
