Launch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland’s ‘One in 1000′ campaign

Launch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland’s “One in 1,000″ appeal.

The aim of the campaign is to get 1,000 women to run in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon, one of CFI’s key fundraising initiatives in 2014.

Funds raised from this appeal in recent years have been used to fund a new state-of-the-art 4-bed ward for children in Crumlin Hospital, and to provide new isolation beds and treatment units nationwide. It is a key fundraiser in efforts to continue to provide support and services for people with CF.

I would really encourage all the women out there to dust off their runners and get involved. It’s a great cause and a brilliant day out!
